to learn the basics of handgun safety, our Basic Pistol Course is perfect
for you!

Who you decide to obtain your training from is as important as getting
the training itself! I have been through many classes over the years that
were taught by great sportsmen who were terrible teachers. With Indy
Gun Safety you get the best of both worlds! I personally teach the
majority of our classes. But all of my instructors are required to have a
high level of expertise in adult education, NOT just firearms. All of our
instructors are also NRA Range Safety Officers.

Randall DeWitt is a lifelong sportsman and Life Endowment member of
the National Rifle Association. He is also an International Defensive Pistol
Association member, competitor, and Range Safety Officer. (IDPA)
Randall started teaching NRA programs in 2004 under the name
Cleveland CCW in Cleveland, Ohio. In just 2 years, Cleveland CCW
became one of the largest and well know firearm training centers in the
Cleveland metro area, providing the required educational program for an
Ohio CCW License.

Upon returning to Indianapolis in 2006, Randall continued teaching,
adding Indy Gun Safety to his existing corporation, Musical Mentors, Inc.
Mr. DeWitt has trained people of all ages and from all walks of life in the
responsible ownership, use, and storage of a handgun & ammunition.

Randall spent 13 years employed as a Paramedic and Firefighter, and
taught Fire Science, Emergency Medical Services, and OSHA compliance
for 7 years for the North Carolina Community College System.

At the age of 30 Randall returned to college himself to pursue a career in
aviation. In 1998 Randall earned an A.A.S. degree in Aviation from
Spartan School of Aeronautics. He has spent nearly a decade employed
as a commercial pilot for a cargo air carrier, achieving the position of
captain in 2004. He has also been an FAA Cetified Flight and Ground
Instructor for the past 12 years. Mr. DeWitt earned a Bachelor of Science
degree in Aviation Technology from Everglades University in Boca Raton
Florida, and is currently doing his graduate work at the same university.
